Zombies vs Humans Zombie Tier List
Structure delete first, finishers second — Tix spent on the night in front of you.
Zombie ranks in Zombies vs Humans follow the win condition: convert every Human before the timer. That means open the box, then finish the wounded. A 250 HP Gladiator who never touches a pillar is a mascot. This list ranks Dejavu Studios’ variants with public Tix costs and caps from NamuWiki / dangler. Roster lore sits on players/zombies. Human counters sit on how to survive.
dangler’s “Every Zombie Explained” video is in the middle of this page. Watch it once, then spend Tix on purpose.
S — open the box
- Bomber (free, level 0). The engine. Click, wide blast, die, respawn. dangler: rush Humans and dump damage into walls. Two Bombers in a closet convert a stacked trio. You always have this. Use it until the fort is a hole.
- Cannoneer (~125 Tix, level 8, cap 3, 150s cooldown). Slow (walk 7), 70 HP, planted cannon with huge structure radius and self-knockback. Tower killer. If the server is living in a banner spire from New Frontiers, this is the pick. Do not buy it to 1v1 in the grass.
A — pressure and roofs
- Hunter (~150 Tix, level 12, cap 5, 45s cooldown). 70 HP, walk 16, jump 55. Roof camper’s nightmare. NamuWiki: check ping before you main it. If you rubberband, you are a 70 HP piñata.
- Gravedigger (level 18). Pickaxe through many blocks, 35 player damage in dangler’s sheet, graves that keep spawning problems. Slow. You are demolition support. Graves in mid-map deny “safe anywhere.” XP tables pay you for those spawns.
B — finishers and bullies
- Rusher (free, level 0). Fastest walk (24), 80 HP, bomb at about half Bomber damage. dangler calls it one of the weaker sieges. Keep it for low HP Humans and chases, not for obsidian faces.
- Gladiator (~275 Tix, level 25, cap 3, 150s cooldown). 250 HP, walk 19, jump 50. S-tier on ruins. C-tier against a closed iron box you refuse to cannon. Humans should not duel it in a hallway; you should not be the hallway if the roof still exists. Unlock with Tix after you already understand Bomber.
- Slime (level 6). Movement / block-adjacent pick from the unlock table. Not your conversion plan. Use as a spice, not a main.
Spend order
- Play Bomber until you can drop a pillar line without Q’ing the lobby grass.
- Buy Cannoneer if towers exist, Hunter if roofs exist.
- Gravedigger when nights stall with too much HP still standing.
- Gladiator when Tix are burning a hole and the map is already open.
Emotes are not a tier. Do not spend Tix on a sit animation because v1.0 archive trivia is funny. Money and Tix.
Caps and cooldowns are part of the rank
Three Cannoneers is the ceiling. If the slots are full, you are Bomber again. That is correct. Four players waiting on Gladiator cooldown while a roof still stands is how Humans win the clock. Swap. The how to play page is the objective; this list is the kit.
Human-side reading
If you are still Human, this list is a threat board. Extra legs beat Gladiator. Roof beats Hunter. Spread-out teammates beat double Bomber. That is how to build plus how to survive.
Ranks move if a patch retunes explosion HP. We will note that on updates. Until then, Bomber is still the default S because it is free and it deletes the game’s actual HP: blocks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players ask after every night.
What is the best zombie in Zombies vs Humans?
Bomber for general siege, Cannoneer for towers, Hunter for roofs. Gladiator only when the fort is already open.
Should I buy Gladiator first?
No. It costs about 275 Tix and loses to a closed box. Buy Cannoneer or Hunter first.
Why is Rusher ranked below Bomber?
Faster, but roughly half the bomb damage and 80 HP. It finishes; it does not open obsidian.
Do zombie kills pay well?
Gladiator is the XP pinata. Bomber is consistent. Tables: Money guide.
